Working as a team
You do not need to share passwords to share work. A workspace is your account’s sites, backups and library, and you can invite teammates into it with exactly the access they need.
Inviting a member
Open Team in the icon rail (visible in your own workspace) and click Invite member. Enter their email, pick a role, and choose whether they see all sites or only specific ones. They receive an email invite; accepting it links the workspace to their own DashboardWP account (they create one on the spot if needed). Until then the invite shows as Invited and can be resent or cancelled.
Roles
- Viewer: read-only. Sees sites, their state and the library, changes nothing.
- Member: the day-to-day operator. Manages plugins, themes, users and core, runs backups and restores, runs security scans and cleanups, and uses one-click admin login.
- Admin: everything a member can, plus adding and deleting sites, site settings, and managing the repository library.
- Owner: that is you. Team and billing always stay with the owner and cannot be delegated.
The dashboard hides what a role cannot use, and the server enforces the same rules regardless.
Limiting access to specific sites
When inviting (or editing a member later) you can restrict them to a chosen set of sites instead of Access to all sites. All-sites access includes sites you add later; a restricted member sees only their list.
Working in someone else’s workspace
If you are invited to a workspace, it appears in the workspace switcher inside your user menu (top right). Switching changes whose sites you see; your own account and settings stay yours. Actions you take are recorded in the activity log under your name.
Removing access
Removing a member (or deleting a pending invite) on the Team page cuts their access immediately. Their own account and their own sites are unaffected; only the link to your workspace is removed.
