Websites and the site dashboard

The Websites page is your fleet at a glance; each site’s own dashboard is the cockpit for that one site. This guide walks through both.

The Websites overview

Every connected site appears as a card with its screenshot, favicon, name and address, plus its health and when it was last synced. Use the Grid and List toggles to switch layouts, and the search to filter by name when the fleet grows. From the card’s Manage button (or by clicking the card) you enter the site’s own dashboard.

Connection status and health

A site is normally connected. The dashboard checks the connection regularly in the background; a brief hosting hiccup will not disconnect a healthy site (that is what uptime monitoring tracks). If the connector genuinely stops answering, for example because the plugin was deactivated or removed, the site is marked as failed and the card offers Fix connection, which reruns the pairing flow for that address.

Opening a site lands on its dashboard: a summary of the site’s WordPress version, pending updates, latest backups, security score, uptime and recent activity, with shortcuts into each area. Think of it as the site’s front page inside DashboardWP.

Inside a site, the sidebar lists everything you can do there:

Dashboard: the summary described above.
Management: Plugins, Themes, Users, Updates, Backups, Security, Uptime and Activity. Each has its own guide in this series.
Settings: the site’s name and URL, its plan, the connection details and the delete action.

The site switcher at the top of the sidebar jumps straight to any other connected site, back to all sites, or to adding a new one, without leaving the page you are on.

Keeping data fresh

The dashboard caches each site’s inventory so pages load instantly, and refreshes it automatically after every action and on a regular schedule. The sync button in the top bar refreshes all sites at once on demand; each list page (plugins, themes, users) also has its own refresh. The “last sync” stamp on the site card tells you how fresh the data is.

Site settings

Under Settings you can rename the site, correct its URL, switch its plan, generate a new connection key if you ever need to re-pair, pick the account used for one-click admin login, and delete the site. Deleting removes the site and its data from the dashboard only; the WordPress site itself is untouched, just unlink the connector plugin afterwards.
